2008 Summit Info

The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP)
in association with FORTUNE® Custom Projects presented the 12th edition of its world-renowned conference series – The Outsourcing World Summit February 16-18, 2009 at the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California

As always, the
Summit’s keynote speakers will draw from top business, academic, and government leaders, and its educational sessions will feature practitioners with hands-on experience and insights into leveraging outsourcing as a powerful tool for organizational transformation.

“Companies are past the basics of talking about outsourcing and offshoring,” said IAOP Managing Director of Thought Leadership Jagdish Dalal. “Executives understand outsourcing now and want to know how to effectively use it in their organizations.”

“The real power of outsourcing going forward is going to be that it increases an organization's core capacity for change and growth,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. "The business challenges over the next decade are going to be very different than anything we've seen so far and the companies that weave a powerful network of global partners through outsourcing will be the winners."

What topics are covered?

The 2009 Outsourcing World Summit’s program will directly address the issues that arise in today’s global marketplace by showcasing the breakthrough achievements of the companies paving the way.

The Summit looks at outsourcing as a management practice - from strategy, to implementation, to ongoing relationship management.

Keynote sessions address global developments while dozens of educational track sessions explore specific developments in the outsourcing of various types of business activities, within specific industries, and by key topic.
