We are pleased to announce that Pierre-Andre Dubois of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP will be assuming the role of the London Chapter Chair! Founding members, Kirkland& Ellis, who bring a wealth of experience in chairing the Chicago and San Francisco chapters, will provide valuable direction for the UK community through the London chapter.

Meeting Held:
September 22, 2006

The London Chapter of IAOP held its third meeting on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the offices of Simmons & Simmons, City Point, One Ropemaker Street, London.  The meeting was hosted by Chapter Chair David Barrett.

Featured speakers were Mike Corbett, Executive Director, IAOP, and Graham Beck, Global IT Consulting Group, PA Consulting on
2006 survey results on the current state of the outsourcing Industry.

 
Second Meeting of the London Chapter

Simmons & Simmons, Founding Member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), chaired the second meeting of the London Chapter at their offices, City Point, One Ropemaker Street, London, on Wednesday, November 16, 2005.

The meeting included a welcome and introduction on IT & ITES/BPO opportunities in the Philippines given by H.E. Ambassador Edgardo B. Espiritu and was followed by cocktails and informal discussion.

Inaugural Meeting of the
London Chapter

David Barrett, Partner, Simmons & Simmons and Chapter Chair, hosted the inaugural meeting of the London Chapter of IAOP on June 28, 2005.  The meeting included a welcome and opening of the UK Chapter given by the Chapter Chair, and an overview of IAOP and of the outsourcing industry given by Michael Corbett, Executive Director of IAOP and international outsourcing expert.   Guest speaker was Mark Kobayashi-Hillary, author of Outsourcing to India

Primary Purpose of the London Chapter
The London Chapter of IAOP is for customers, providers and advisors who work or

are located in London or the surrounding areas.

The Chapter’s primary focus is to assist these individuals in building their professional networks within the field and collectively advancing outsourcing as a recognized and highly regarded profession.

Executive Committee
Participation in the Executive Committee is limited to executives from IAOP Corporate Members and provides a non-commercial forum for sharing ideas, experiences, and issues across customer, provider, and advisor organizations.
