Philippines Perspective


On Wednesday, December 13, 2006, Peter Maquera, Vice President, SPi and Chapter Chair, moderated a round table discussion featuring Greg Clark, Asia Global Business Services Director, Procter & Gamble and Romeo Aquino, Managing Director, Philippines, NeoIT.  Greg and Romeo shared their insights on captive vs. third party providers.

After welcoming everyone to the webinar, Michael Corbett, Executive Director of IAOP, provided an overview of IAOP.  A Chapter introduction by Peter Maquera followed.

The webinar featured a round table discussion followed by a Q & A session.  At the close of the discussion, an announcement of the next webinar topic was made.


 Inaugural Meeting  

The Chapter’s first meeting was held via webinar on Monday, August 28, 2006 from 11:00 am12:00 noon Eastern time. The meeting, chaired by corporate member SPi, featured the topic Philippines as a BPO Destination.”

Mr. Bill Lewis, Consulting Director, LexisNexis Sourcing Global Supplier Management, presented from a customer perspective.  Mr. Lewis is an expert in managing multi-million dollar outsourcing engagements for LexisNexis across the globe and brings valuable insights.

Primary Purpose
The primary focus of the Philippines Chapter is both networking and educational.

The Chapter aims to provide a forum to bring together business executives, service providers, end-users and advisors who are interested in global sourcing, with the focus on the
Philippines as an outsourcing destination.



The chapter will also endeavor to work closely with
IAOP’s Advocacy & Outreach Committee to advance outsourcing as a recognized profession and as an industry.
