The meeting included information on: Finding the Sweet Spot on Developing and Delivering Premium Online content: Build, Buy or Partner? Next Generation Networks and convergence technologies have changed the dynamics of Communications, Media and Entertainment ecosystem by ushering in new services, applications and go to market approaches. In order to succeed, businesses need to find their sweet spot on leveraging core capabilities and obtaining competences through acquisition, sourcing, building or partnership. Further, they need an integrated ecosystem strategy that addresses the following questions: What characteristics do end-users seek in content they are willing to pay a premium for? How do you build the right capabilities into your offerings? - What are the costs and benefits of sourcing (i.e., building, buying, partnering or a combination) the desired capabilities?
- Does the delivery medium (whether wireless or wire line) affect the optimal approach to delivery?
- Who are the key content development and delivery players in the ecosystem?
- What are the revenue models?
- How do you pick the right partners?
- How do you manage relationships?
How do you know when to exit/end partnership?
