Inaugural Meeting held!
The inaugural meeting of IAOP’s Greater Cincinnati Chapter was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 with registration starting at 5:30 and the event running from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. This meeting was held at the Westin Hotel, 21 East 5th Street, Cincinnati.
The agenda of this April 2nd meeting included an overview of IAOP, a discussion of local chapter objectives, and a special guest speaker.
The guest speaker for the April 2nd meeting was Professor Arie Y. Lewin from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Professor Lewin is the Director of the Center for International Education and Research (CIBER) and the Lead Principal Investigator of the multi year international Offshoring Research Network (ORN) project. Professor Lewin has done extensive research on Globalization, Outsourcing, and Offshoring, and he is recognized internationally as a thought leader on these topics. Professor Lewin discussed the findings from the fourth annual ORN Buy Side survey entitled: “Strategic Offshoring Reaches the C-Suite”.
