IAOP Chairman Corbett to Speak at Outsourcing Governance Workshop in Italy

International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Reaches Out to Outsourcing Professionals in Europe As Industry Grows

POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y., Sept. 23, 2008 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) chairman will speak on state-of-the-art outsourcing processes at a governance workshop next month in Italy, as part of the association’s increased outreach to outsourcing professionals in Europe.

IAOP chief Michael Corbett will make a presentation during the event, “Managing Outsourcing Relationships: Emerging Strategies and New Governance Models,” on Oct. 10 at the University of Salerno. The full-day program, which IAOP is co-sponsoring, features business and academic speakers, and roundtable discussions.

Through its participation in and support of industry events on outsourcing in Europe as well as its own programs, such as the upcoming 2008 European Outsourcing Summit, IAOP is dedicated to serving the education and business development needs of professionals in the region.

“As outsourcing grows in Europe, IAOP has been at the forefront of providing the latest information and knowledge to professionals in the region,” Corbett said. “Outsourcing governance is a top challenge for all professionals and can help companies achieve better outcomes.”

The workshop at the University of Salerno will explore the critical aspects of defining and managing outsourcing relationships, identifying trends in action and modalities/tools for effective and efficient governance.

Corbett also will be among a slate of world-class speakers and practitioners at the 2008 European Outsourcing Summit, Oct. 16-17, at IESE Business School, University of Navarro, in Barcelona, Spain.
