Professionals Converge at Annual Conference for Latest on Outsourcing Strategies that are Essential to Succeeding in Today’s Economy

IAOP’s Outsourcing World Summit to Feature Keynote Speakers from Accenture, Nike and Former Under Secretary of State

POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y., Nov. 7, 2008 – With companies struggling to survive in today’s economy, the 12th annual Outsourcing World Summit® will take on greater importance than ever before, as executives from around the world gather to explore outsourcing strategies that are critical to their success.

Produced by the The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals
(IAOP™), the annual conference will be held Feb.16-18 at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

“Outsourcing is increasingly recognized by businesses, universities and economists worldwide as a critical new management science,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “Not only are the latest developments in outsourcing helping companies to reduce costs, but they are spurring innovation and wealth creation at a time when we all really need it.”

The three-day event will include more than 36 in-depth sessions exploring the management science of outsourcing in all its forms and dimensions, including flexible resourcing solutions, such as share services, offshoring, global talent management, multi-provider, and multi-process outsourcing.

Among the keynote speakers for the summit are
Ambassador R. Nicholas Burns, former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs; Jill Smart, Chief Human Resources Officer, Accenture; and Nike Corporate Historian Nelson Farris.

Other speakers from leading companies participating in the event include Safeco Insurance, The Hertz Corp., NewsCorp Dow Jones, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, GMAC Financial Services, CNA, Arrow Electronics and Air Canada.

Open to buyers, sellers and advisors from the world’s top organizations, the Summit provides a full program for learning, networking and business improvement.

By attending the event, professionals can earn education points toward the Certified Outsourcing Professional
(COP) designation, a globally recognized standard of excellence for outsourcing leaders. COP training courses also will be offered before and during the event.
